Green energy supply Expansion of renewable energies: In order to achieve the ambitious goal of climate neutrality by 2035, EJOT is focusing, among other things, on avoiding emissions by installing photovoltaic systems for the use of solar energy, converting the company's own vehicle fleet to electric mobility and promoting employee leasing of e-bikes.
For pre-positioned installation, the positions of the boreholes must be very precise, since the through holes are specified in the add-on part. Although this takes more time, cost-effective series assembly is possible because all boreholes can be made without interruption. In addition, the contractor has space to measure the borehole and set the anchor, since the add-on part only follows after the preparatory work has been completed.
Different movements of the plaster shell and the window occur at these connections, for example due to temperature-related effects. These movements have to be taken up by the profiles in order to enable a permanent, driving-rain-tight connection of the components. However, as the thickness of the thermal insulation composite system increases, the windows move further and further out into the insulation level. Here, a higher load automatically causes more movement, which the profiles have to withstand.

In order to prevent any leakage on the roof due to the roof perforation, the solar fastener is either combined with an EJOT ORKAN storm washer and a E16 sealing washer or a fibre cement sealing element. The Kreisbahn Siegen-Wittgenstein had commissioned DB Cargo with the rail transport from Kreuztal to Graz. For Kuehne+Nagel, the transport was a test run to find an answer to the question of whether it makes sense to transport EJOT products by train from Kreuztal to Graz. EJOT sends around 1,200 pallets with around 340 tons of goods from Wittgenstein to its subsidiary in Austria every year.

Let's look at these anchoring methods in detail: Friction lock Expanding individual components within the borehole creates friction that securely fixes the anchor in the surface. We differentiate between torque-controlled and displacement-controlled expansion: The nut of the through bolt or the safety bolt must be tightened with a defined torque in order to fully expand the expansion sleeve.
This results in many different fastening possibilities with self-drilling roof screws, classic self-drilling screws, frame anchors and in part also in combination with a special plastic tube washer to reduce thermal bridges.
