Mistake no. 2: Angled through bolts It seems that the installer knew that edges are critical, because he tried to prevent splitting by installing the through bolts at an angle.
In order to assess the suitability of profiles according to these different requirements, various classifications have been created, with which a testing institute can assess the products in terms of movement absorption and imperviousness to driving rain.
To answer these questions, we first need to examine some basic issues.

The following errors/damages often occur in such cases: Problems with connections/seals Load-carrying capacity too low/deformations too high The durability of the materials in the system is unclear (e.g. wood may rot) How to find the suitable fastening solution for the attachment part to be fitted The selection of the optimal mounting element is determined by the acting loads of the attachment as well as the moment of assembly.
Basically, a solar installation serves to convert solar energy into another form of energy.
In all these considerations we have to take into account that we have a duty of care towards our 70 colleagues of the EJOT subsidiary in Wostok and that we also fulfil this duty - as far as we are able to do so in this difficult situation.
Last but not least, a symbolic sign: The future is also coming to Chernobyl. On 26 April 1986, an explosion destroyed reactor 4 of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine, causing one of the greatest nuclear disasters of humankind.

The EJOFAST® family for various applications in air conditioning and ventilation The drill tip of the EJOFAST® self-drilling screws produces no sharp-edged swarf that gets stuck in the material. This enables the fitters to work much more efficiently, as cleaning work to remove swarf, e.g. in the ventilation ducts, is significantly reduced. Get to know our specific fastening solutions from the EJOFAST® family and learn more about the respective features and advantages.
It is suitable for all thin insulation materials, such as high-performance, soffit and ceiling insulation boards, and enables flush surface installation in all substrates.
These have the highest corrosion resistance in the range of stainless steels. If it is not possible to process corrosion-resistant materials, a number of coatings are available that improve corrosion protection: For metal anchors in the construction sector, galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing or zinc alloys are generally used. In general, the term "corrosion resistant" is used when suitable materials, such as for example stainless steels are used to avoid corrosion.
The advantages at a glance One screw for all part combinations Consistently low contact pressure prevents stick-slip phenomenon No stripping/destruction of the thread in component II resulting in high tensile capacity High self-locking/clamping effect of the thread in component II due to reduced drill point diameter No loosening of the screw under long-term stress High tensile and transverse load transmission in the substructure due to fine pitch thread General building authorities test certificate as proof of us ...

The EJOFAST® family for various applications on the roof The self-drilling screws of the EJOFAST® family allow secure application to the surface. Displacement or slipping is almost impossible. At the same time, the drill tip of the EJOFAST® self-drilling screws does not produce any sharp-edged swarf that gets stuck in the material. This enables the fitters to work much more efficiently, as the amount of cleaning work to remove swarf on the roof is significantly reduced.
After the installation it can be reconstructed, which length was used and which installation depth is applicable for the clamping thickness Bolt stamp: It shows the manufacturer’s identification, the diameter as well as the maximum and minimum clamping thickness Faster installation: The tightening torque is achieved by 30-50% fewer turns, which is particularly noticeable in series assembly. Through bolts are torque controlled expansion anchors. By applying the torque, the bolt expands in solid substrates such in ...
The load-bearing capacity values in cracked and non-cracked concrete have been significantly increased compared to the predecessor. Due to an optimised tip geometry, the new JC2 Plus is still easy to install.

In addition to the own weight of the system to be fastened and the loads to be applied, the base material is one of the most important factors in determining the suitable fastener. In this article we would like to talk about the different mineral base materials.
The metal cone must travel a certain distance inside the drop-in anchor in order to properly expand the sleeve in the borehole. The ETA-controlled setting tool ensures the correct distance. Advantages: Easy assembly (no setting tools, exception: drop-in anchors) Immediate load-carrying capacity (no curing times) Self-locking load bearing capacity: As soon as load is introduced via the add-on part, the cone bolt continues to pull into the sleeve.
Let´s take a closer look at the two types of installation below: Pre-positioned installation The process of pre-positioned installation consists of several steps: First a hole is drilled according to the product data and cleaned using a cleaning brush and blow-out pump. (1-3) In the next step, the anchor is inserted into the fastening base.
Now, to understand which side of a ceiling is the torn side and which is the non-torn side, we can imagine a simple, thin board that crosses a stream as a footbridge. The dead weight of the board and the added weight by people cause the board to bend. The bending stress within the board results in a compression load on the top of the board and tensile stress on the underside.

Expert EJOT staff repair the defective tools to prevent down-times. If possible, we carry out the repairs directly on site. If the damage is too severe, the repair will be done in one of our EJOT workshops.
Example: With a 100 mm-long anchor which is embedded 70 mm in the substrate, a fastening thickness of up to 30 mm can be achieved.
For example, the exposure to corrosion is much higher in environments with seawater or in the chloride-containing environment of swimming pools than in other areas.
In addition to corrosion protection, this top coat protects against chemical and mechanical effects and is responsible, for example, for weather resistance and appearance.
Therefore, only the formulas for the minimum distances with pilot hole in accordance with DIN EN 1995-1-1: 2010-12 need to be taken into account. However, the extensive tables and representations of DIN EN 1995-1-1: 2010-12 quickly make it clear that the necessary edge distance cannot be determined without special knowledge in relation to the timber construction standard.
Self-drilling screws are required to attach mounting rails in the roof cladding, e.g. for a trapezoidal profiled sheet, or to connect individual mounting elements to one another.
For trapezoidal profiled sheets and sandwich panels, there is the alternative option of screwing the mounting rails into the roofing in addition to fastening them in the roof substructure.
In order to prevent any leakage on the roof due to the roof perforation, the solar fastener is either combined with an EJOT ORKAN storm washer and a E16 sealing washer or a fibre cement sealing element.
"EJOT is clearly committed to the Tambach location and confirms this through steady growth, continuous investment and high regard for the employees", said the panel in its speech.

In addition to the form, the colour of the facade also plays an important role. Manufacturers of profiled steel sheets have long been offering a wide variety of colour combinations. To obtain a continuous colour image, up to the smallest detail, even the fastening elements such as screws, rivets and storm washers are produced in the corresponding RAL colours.
Fastening to timber substructures In order to achieve high load-bearing capacity values in timber, the screws have a coarse thread.
With an area measuring 600 square metres, the east façade is the largest vertical garden in Germany to date (as of May 2022).
With ETICS, the maximum possible characteristic wind load according to the ETICS approval is wek = -2,2 kN/m². known wind load If the wind load is known, it can be entered directly as - characteristic wind load wek (value without safety factor) or - design value wed (value with safety factor). Determining the wind load Otherwise, the wind load for area A (edge area) is calculated according to DIN EN 1991-1-4/NA:2010-12 using the simplified method.
