EJOT site in Tambach-Dietharz receives "Outstanding site development" award
The Declaration of Performance (DoP) is a central feature of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) in the EU. It provides information regarding the performance of a product under consistent testing standards. All construction products which fall under a DIN-EN or for which a European Technical Assessment (ETA) has been issued require this declaration.
In the case of composite products it is necessary to take the concentration threshold of the individual product into account (e.g. bicycle handle, belt buckle, etc.).

In the following, we will therefore take a closer look at the most common head styles and drives for self-drilling screws: Hexagon head and hexagon drive In the case of screws with a hexagon head, we speak of hexagon screws (also called wrench screws). As a drive, the hexagon head has the great advantage that the surfaces of the head realize greater power transmission and the screw can be gripped from all sides.

A distinction is usually made between pre-positioned installation and push through installation. Let´s take a closer look at the two types of installation below: Pre-positioned installation The process of pre-positioned installation consists of several steps: First a hole is drilled according to the product data and cleaned using a cleaning brush and blow-out pump. (1-3) In the next step, the anchor is inserted into the fastening base.
These must be absorbed by the reveal beads with mesh, because a permanent, driving rain-proof connection between the building components must also be ensured under these effects.

The path to climate neutrality leads through Scope 3 emissions. At EJOT, as at many other manufacturing companies, they make up the largest amount of the CO2e footprint.
22.04.2022, Market Unit Construction The ETA-approved JC2 Plus concrete screw for high loads is DIBt-approved for reusability together with the CG Checking Gauge.
In addition to general building authority approval Z.14.4-426, they also have European approval (ETA-10/0200) and product certification from the US industrial property insurance company FM Global and the independent assessment body ICC ES.
Assessment of the environment – Corrosivity categories (DIN EN ISO 12944-2) Various European and international standards are available to us in order to assess which exposure to corrosion is to be expected and then select the suitable materials.
He added that customers in Germany and Europe would not be neglected. "However, we have to take note that the general conditions in Europe have become more difficult."
Due to an optimized tip geometry, the new JC2 Plus is still easy to install. With the newly launched size 14 mm, the portfolio has been expanded at the same time.
Torsion/bending stress If components are rotated about their own axis (torsion) or loaded transversely to the axis with a force (bending), a multitude of tensions arise around the component centre, the so-called neutral fibre. Types of loading
The standard specifies the planning, calculation and construction principles for sustainable structures. 18516 refers to the general building authorities approval for stainless steels Z-30.3-6 for the corrosion requirement for the fastening elements. This in turn refers to European standard DIN EN 1993-1-4. According to EN 1993-1-4, Table A1, the corrosion resistance factor CRF has to be determined.
Benefits for industrial users The innovative joining technique EJOWELD® makes it possible to join new materials and material thickness combinations which have not been feasible to date.
The new approval Z-21.8-2141 regulates the option of reusing the JC2 Plus concrete screw, 14 mm diameter with hexagon head.
The first sustainability report for our group of companies shows many of the activities we have initiated to reduce our CO2 emissions - with the aim of achieving climate neutrality by 2035.
Corrosion damage causes costs amounting to several billion euros each year. In addition to the financial consequences, numerous dramatic damage events can be attributed to corrosion.
It is still dark. EJOT is slowly waking up. The first lights go on in the production halls.

Our foreign companies will keep their legal forms and their usual structure. With the transformation into a European public limited company in the year of the 100th anniversary of our company we place greater emphasis on the ongoing internationalisation and raise this to an even more professional level in operational terms. Even after the change into a European public limited company EJOT will remain a family owned and managed business. This means that the entrepreneurial stability and solidity that have characterized our company in the past will be ensured in the future as well.
The EJOT approval assistant is a database-driven version of the current European Technical Assessments ETA-10/0200 and ETA-13/0177 and the national approval Z-14.1-4.
Once again we see that low carbon-emissions steel is vital for building the infrastructure we need for the transition to carbon neutrality. After all, solar modules, efficient electric cars or wind turbines cannot be made without steel. We are already able to produce very low-carbon and, in a few years, climate-neutral steel. For us, it's about doing our homework and continuously working on such promising projects in cooperation with our customers.”
This also shows why only products with national building authorities’ approval or European Technical Approval may be used for statically and/or safety-relevant areas.
The ejotherm® STR U 2G universal anchor was the first solution for countersunk installation covered with a cap on the European market.
In operation the new building is carbon-neutral. Ecology and efficiency play a central role and underline the strategic goal of the EJOT group to reduce the CO2 emission to zero until 2035.
The use of all EJOT embedment, connector and fastening elements is specified by construction law in an ETA (European Technical Assessment). Since the European Construction Products Regulation came into effect, it is the generally recognised proof of the technical usability of a construction product in the sense of the Construction Products Regulation in the member states of the European Union.
The necessary tests for this approval essentially correspond to the European approval ETA and confirm the safety, reliability and durability of the EJOT flat roof fasteners. The FM approval is a further step for the worldwide use of the products. The background: In Europe, fasteners are usually tested on the basis of an EEAS and thus approved for use with all roofing membranes.
This 14 mm anchor features excellent load-carrying capacities and a characteristic bending moment of more than 60 Nm. Substrate material The European Technical Assessments (ETA) regulate for which substrate materials the facade anchors are approved.
