 "Specialist" for thermosets

Alternative materials, that were not focused on by the fastening technology a few years ago, are now commonplace in various industrial applications. Especially the thermosets often replace other materials, in the automotive industry oftentimes due to weight savings of components. The reliable and durable connection of these highly loaded components makes high demands on the used fastening elements. EJOT meets these demands with the inovative DELTA PT® DS, based on the proven DELTA PT® screw, which is qualified for the most difficult self-tapping applications into thermosets due to its special thread layout.

 Modified thread ends

The thread form „DS“ (DuroSet) is the "key" for the solution of these difficult fastening challenges. For the EJOT DELTA PT® DS screw special grooves are applied to the established DELTA PT® thread geometry, which enable optimal forming of the female thread. These grooves are pronounced at the screw point and taper off towards the screw head. This way the new thread forming zone enables a low installation and high stripping torque and breaking of the screw boss can be effectively prevented with DELTA PT® DS. This innovative screw is optimised for designs that make very high demands on the direct assembly process due to hardness and brittleness of the used material.
