The EJOT JF and JT screw types are generally considered to be pre-drilled when calculating the edge distances. The only exception is the JA screw type, these screws must be pre-drilled (0.7xd).
Depending on the substructure of the roof, the lower part is either an EJOT self-drilling screw JT3-SB-3-8.0 x L or an EJOT self-tapping screw JA3-8.0 x L or JA3-10.0 x L based on DIN 571.

Machining plays a rather subordinate role in industrial production It is primarily used for very large screws where the forming process has reached its limits.
The roofing membrane is placed on the insulating material and is attached in a defined grid. The material of the steel trapezoidal profile and the insulation is chosen so that it has a lower grade or is in the area of the most unfavourable property. This guarantees that the test results can also be applied to steel sheets with trapezoidal corrugation that have higher strength properties and insulation with higher compression strength. Once the test roof set-up has been finished, and the overlap of the roofing membrane has been welded, the test is performed under a cover.

The cooperation between ArcelorMittal, Finkernagel and Ejot is a good example and a premiere for a cooperation between manufacturer, processor and end-product producer to reduce environmental impact: ArcelorMittal Hamburg produces XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel – which has a CO₂ footprint significantly lower than conventionally produced steel - which the wire-drawing company Finkernagel processes further; EJOT, in turn, produces screws from the drawn wire in cold forming, which are ultimately used for batteries in electric cars and for solar panel structures.

In addition, the console made of stainless steel creates only a minimal thermal bridge compared to aluminium.
