Reveal bead with mesh EJOT® Pro GAP Giga Flex slim – 7 mm Small construction width (7 mm) and wide range of applications with high movement absorption at the same time: GAP07 Giga Flex slim is optimal for areas with limited space, e.g. renovations.
The current, second part of our ETICS guide series therefore deals with the installation of adhesive profiles and what needs to be considered in advance.
In combination with the injection technique, the Iso-Bar ECO allows a high characteristic load-bearing capacity in concrete and all common types of masonry. The system thus also permanently withstands high loads from greenery, e.g. frosted plants in winter.
13.01.2021, Construction Division EJOT is revolutionizing rear-ventilated facade construction with the CROSSFIX® substructure system.
In order to avoid frequently occurring light or dark spots on ETICS facades, also known as "anchor marks", EJOT developed the countersunk anchor installation with a cap – the so-called STR principle.

In Moers on the Lower Rhine, the new administration building of ENNI Stadt & Service Niederrhein AöR, which was constructed in 2021, is a flagship project in terms of green façades. With an area measuring 600 square metres, the east façade is the largest vertical garden in Germany to date (as of May 2022). The greenery consists of some 56,000 plants held in place by the CROSSFIX® substructure system. The green façade with its colourful interplay of over 30 different flowering shrubs and grasses impressively demonstrates the huge potential that this type of façade design has to offer – both in terms of visual and ecological aspects as well as other positive aspects f ...

The drilling performance of a screw refers to the drill point and defines the maximum thickness of components which can be penetrated with this drill point. The drilling performance value ≥ t is stated in millimetres. For direct bearing surface (e.g. trapezoidal profile to steel substructure) the following formula can be used: Drilling performance for direct bearing surface t = component tI + component tII For sandwich panels the following formula applies: Drilling performance for sandwich panels t = component tII If the drilling performance (alternatively also called drilling capacity) is too low, the screw cannot finish the work step "drilling" and the drill point clogs with t ...
Clever & Clean The unique tip geometry without cutting bit, the high assembly speed as well as the load capacity of the EJOFAST® screws are of great advantage when fastening solar installations and increase the safety of the fastening.

The flat roof guidebook has already dealt with the basics of planning a flat roof, the difference between flat and pitched roofs, the structure of a flat roof, different types of anchoring with roofing membranes and the topic of initial sizing including the wind uplift test. After the successfully completed wind uplift test (already discussed in the previous part of the flat roof guide), EJOT will provide the client with a test report with the system design including all individual components, correction factors and partial safety factors.
Part 1 – Planning basics Part 2 – Types of anchoring with roofing membranes Part 3 – Basic concepts of initial sizing Part 4 – The wind uplift test Part 5 – Calculation of wind load
A wind suction test to determine the positional stability against wind loads on roof systems is referred to as the wind uplift test. With mechanically attached roof waterproofing systems, the failure load is specified in accordance with EAD or DIN 16002.
A complete system for renovation The KERI system Advantages of the KERI system Excellent rated values for transverse and flexural strength due to the structural shape of the anchor for a small minimum number of anchors No temperature restrictions in installation, as it is a purely mechanical system – without mortar Long-term safety and longevity, no signs of fatigue due to the exclusive use of stainless steel components Fire behaviour according to building material category A1 "non-combustible", as without flammable components Processing: only one drilling diameter of 42.5 mm throughout is necessary Less noise and vibrations compared to the hammer drilling process t ...

Self-tapping screws Self-tapping screws are screws assembled with sealing washers without drill points.
Edge distances of self-drilling screws and self-tapping screws In the previous parts of our self-drilling screw guide, we dealt with the different types of self-drilling screws, the different head shapes and drive types, as well as the manufacturing processes for self-drilling screws. This part now deals with the edge distances to be observed when using self-drilling screws and thread-forming screws in timber, steel and aluminum parts.

If multiple fastening is not possible due to the existing conditions on the building, i.e. lintels, or for corner formation, it must be anchored with a single fastening system. There are different ways of doing this, depending on the substrate. There are some national approvals for single fastening with nylon anchors, but these are often limited to individual embedment substrates, e.g. concrete.
The greater the pressure, the greater the friction and therefore the force required to pull out the nylon anchor again. With this form of embedment it must be observed that the high expansion pressure requires corresponding axle and edge distances to prevent substrate splitting or edge fracturing. Guided connection Undercut anchors for concrete or injection systems for perforated bricks generate comparably high tensile capacity due to the guided joint connection with the substrate. A key advantage is the low expansion pressure and the high safety on cracked substrates. Adhesive bond Anchor rods which are bonded with injection mortar into solid building ...

The EJOFORM® products are manufactured in a multiple-stage cold-forming process. With this technology, a wire section is formed into a complex cold-forming part over several forming steps.
Standing water puts strain on the roof membrane and can reduce the service life of flat roofs. For an effective drain of rainwater, flat roofs are therefore formed with a slight slope.
New technology enables optimum movement absorption The two reveal beads with mesh EJOT Pro GAP Active Flex and Giga Flex are in the focus of the new product range.
EJOFAST® self-drilling screws Unique screw point geometry without classic cutting edge Due to the unique screw point geometry and the special thread form, the EJOFAST® screw not only fastens with reduced swarf and at high speed, it also features excellent clamping properties.
There is considerable potential for savings in surface plating technology, for example, with the use of CO2e-reduced substances or temperature changes in the production process, with cost-neutral expenditure.
We do not only consider the individual fastening point, but the entire component or assembly. With a broad product portfolio, global sales with qualified application engineers, worldwide screw laboratories and a wide range of digital services, our focus is on innovative and future-oriented fields of application.

19.05.2022, Market Unit Construction A wide range of EJOT flat roof fasteners has been tested and approved for use by the American FM Approvals testing institute in combination with various types of roofing membranes.
These high technical capabilities must also be matched with economic aspects. Therefore, with a holistic approach, direct fastening is increasingly becoming the standard.
Selection of the coating With a suitable coating, a surface is considered to be "corrosion protected".
The next step is the powder booth, where the screws are coated with the paint. Antistatic charging of the screws draws the fine dust powdered pigment in like a magnet.
Best in its category: The EJOT Iso-Bar ECO took home the gold with the German Innovation Award 2022.
To securely attach the facade, consoles with lengths of 260 mm and the system’s longest dimension of 400 mm were used at Apollo Nivy.
Sustainability of the console convinces visitors It was in particular the aspect of low thermal conductivity which was met with great interest, since it enables a reduction of the cold transmittance values while maintaining the fire protection. This shows that the new substructure has taken up important current requirements with regard to thermal insulation. The passive house-certified stainless steel console of the CROSSFIX® system is furthermore suitable for vertical and horizontal support profile mounting and can be used for the formation of sliding and fixed points.
