This is characterized by a large pitch and a large depth of bevel in the thread geometry. EJOT screws from the JA series are an example of this. Fastening in steel substructures For use in thicker steels, however, screws with a finer thread geometry are necessary in order to form a fine thread. The EJOT JZ3 screws can be named here as an example. In the case of fasteners for steel substructures, a distinction is also made between two "point styles". The JZ screws have a dog point at the bottom – that is, a dulled end – while the JB screws have a point.
They are suitable for fastening steel and/or aluminium components. The JZ3 installed in the Chernobyl solar park recently received an even more powerful successor in the form of the JZ5. The JZ5 is the strongest self-tapping screw of EJOT to date and scores particularly well when used in high-strength materials.

The EJOT JF and JT screw types are generally considered to be pre-drilled when calculating the edge distances. The only exception is the JA screw type, these screws must be pre-drilled (0.7xd).
JBS-R/EcoTek is the name and it consists of an organically coated concrete screw (JBS-R) and a high-quality plastic stress plate (EcoTek) which is continuously adjustable in height. For a slope insulation of 120 to 260 millimetres, for example, the JBS-R/EcoTek reduces the number of necessary fastener lengths from eight to two. Significant advantages provided by the JBS-R/EcoTek are economic warehousing, simple and process-reliable assembly as well as the wide application range of 70 to 500 mm insulation.
A distinction must be made between JT screws (classic drill point with cutting edge) and JF screws (unique tip geometry without cutting edge). The unique tip geometry of the JF screws enables an improved application behaviour on the component surface compared to classic self-drilling screws.
The materials for screws designated as corrosion resistant include, among other things, the corrosion-resistant stainless steels according to DIN EN 3506 and the national building authority approval Z-30.3-6. Stainless steels form a self-restoring surface layer, the passive coating.

The EJOT approval assistant is a database-driven version of the current European Technical Assessments ETA-10/0200 and ETA-13/0177 and the national approval Z-14.1-4. The respective approved fasteners are determined via the selection of specific applications.
Mesh plaster profiles represent the transition between the facade surface and building openings such as windows and doors represent. At these transitions arise due to z. B. temperature-related effects of different movements of the plaster shell and the window.
This gives contractors even greater flexibility for application while at the same time reducing the risk of colliding with the installed reinforcement during fastening. The new approval Z-21.8-2141 regulates the option of reusing the JC2 Plus concrete screw, 14 mm diameter with hexagon head.
Stainless steels are specified at national level in Germany in the Z-30.3.6 dated 5th March 2018 and are summarised in an overview.
