Subsequent fixing of rain screens

Many apartment, administrative and industrial buildings require significant renovations of facades. There are two reasons for this:

1. Increased thermal requirements on the existing building
2. Necessary renovation of already damaged facades.

Above all, multi-layer or multi-shell constructions are of particular importance. Fastening the outer shell (rain screen) to the supporting wall is often called into question here. The three-layer board is the most widely used multi-layer wall structure. It consists of a bearing shell and an external wall panel with insulation in between. Tests have shown that subsequent renovation becomes necessary due to faulty support anchor materials or an insufficient number of anchors.

The new EJOT brochure "EJOT rain screen anchor KERI - for subsequent fixing of rain screens" shows which damages occur on three-layer boards and which solutions are offered by EJOT.
