Trust in the Finnish manufacturing industry is high at the EJOT group, headquartered in Germany, as it is investing heavily in its Finnish organization, EJOT Sormat Oy. Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, EJOT is known for its highquality, innovative products and as a pioneer in the fastener industry. Now EJOT will invest in new machinery in Finland as well as in new premises and real estate to be built for EJOT Sormat Oy. With these measures, EJOT will meet the growing demand and ensure that manufacturing processes will continue to set standards in the future as well. EJOT Sormat OY has been successful in developing attractive products and efficient manufacturing processes, two important reasons that have led to the fact that about 70% of the production are exported.

The new and modern premises will be located by a good transport connection along Road 8 near Turku. They are built entirely for EJOT Sormat Oy's current and future needs. The new premises will meet the growth-driven requirements for product development, manufacturing, and warehousing. Throughput workflows are designed to be more efficient, and processes optimized in each area. It is also easier to get to the office, the logistics will be more agile.

”Work and production flows will be carefully planned, which will increase our productivity and speed up our work. So, we are able to do more in less time. The environmental impact has also been carefully considered in the design of the new property,” says Jarmo Aaltonen, CEO of EJOT Sormat Oy.

​​​​​​​EJOT Sormat Oy's production equipment will already be modernized this summer even at the current premises in Rusko. With new machines and automation, production capacity will increase significantly. The load and set-up times will be reduced from existing machines, which will also shorten production times

”We are able to produce more parts in shorter time, which also makes production planning easier. This will be visible to customers in even better availability of our products”, Jarmo Aaltonen continues.

EJOT Sormat Oy directly employs about 90 team members and many more at subcontractors and partners in various fields in Finland. The growth targets have been set high and EJOT Group investments are in line with the targets.
