Selftapping Fasteners for Plastic and Metal

The purpose of this seminar is to inform design and manufacturing engineers and purchasers about self
tapping technologies for metal and plastic materials.

The seminar deals with the relevant characteristics of the before mentioned material groups. It takes into consideration the specific performance which occurs
while being deformed.

An introduction into mechanical procedures will be provided:

• Measuring methods for installation and tightening torque
• Installation speed
• Clamp force
• Creeping
• etc.

Construction guidelines for the design of bosses will be given. For DELTA PT^® fasteners EJOT shows a calculation programme which enables designers in the developing process to find a suitable solution. Computeraided electronic test facilities for the testing of direct screw joints will be presented. Possibilities and limits of fasteners´ manufacturing are shown while visiting our plant.
