EJOT and the Worker's Welfare Association conclude a cooperation contract
If you ask a young mother whether and when she wants to return to her old job - full-time or part-time -, you quickly see the child care problems in the kindergartens. These mothers have to face strict opening hours and rigid application dates and are thus put off to an undetermined date in the future. This will now change for the employees of the EJOT company.
In the cooperation contract with the Worker's Welfare Association Siegen-Wittgenstein/Olpe which has been concluded now the family centres of the Worker's Welfare Association, two in Bad Berleburg and another in Bad Laasphe, commit themselves to reserve child care places for the employees of EJOT even before or after the regular application dates and day-care centre places which correspond to the special care situation of the respective family. Child care offers for children younger than 3 years, elementary school pupils, all-day child care facilities, places for handicapped children etc. are also included.
For an industrial company it is very important that the female employees are able to participate in business trips and further education events. In this case the Worker's Welfare Association procures day-care personnel and/or babysitters, if necessary.
Furthermore the family centres of the Worker's Welfare Association or their cooperation partners ensure that an appropriate holiday care for children of EJOT employees who are looked after in institutions of the Worker's Welfare Association is assured.
Additionally, the family centres take on the procurement of further advice and help services, such as child guidance centres, procurement of parent and child cures and professional services of the youth welfare service. First contacts are made and the respective persons will be accompanied during the establishment of the contact.
But it is not only about child care. Employees that have to face a difficult personal situation need help as well. This may be debt counselling or help concerning drug and addiction issues. Furthermore the meals on wheels should be mentioned. Here parents with children of school age can find a reliable offer.
Even if there is a care problem in the family because parents living in the house need intensive care, the Worker's Welfare Association will provide help. From extensive advice possibilities to the provision of care places, also temporary, in the institutions of the Worker's Welfare Association.
The EJOT company of course has to pay for the provided services. A respective regulation exists.
EJOT will now make this new cooperation contract available for the employees. It is published in the EJOT intranet and at the respective notice boards.
