Good connections pay off EJOT is an international operating group of companies in the area of fastening technology headquartered in Berghausen in the South Westphalia region. The business is family-owned in third generation and resulted from the merger of the two companies Adolf Böhl (founded in 1922) and Jaeger (founded in 1946). Since then EJOT went from small manufacturer of screws and nails to a high-tech business. The over 2000 employees are distributed amongst the South Westphalia locations, the plant in Tambach-Dietharz, Thuringia, and other European businesses. EJOT is one of the European market leaders in fastening technology, with numerous sales and production companies. Furthermore, EJOT is founding member of the Global Fastener Alliance (GFA), an international union of, at the time, seven specialists in the field of fastening technology. This alliance guarantees the world-wide availability of our products and technologies for our globally operating customers.
Development is not “an end in itself” for EJOT. Moreover it originates from the knowledge that the total costs of a screw joint or component are caused only to a small degree by the fastening elements themselves. The remaining costs are caused by the assembly, processing, procurement etc. The design engineering phase is of major importance here, since the bulk of the expense of the final product is caused by the engineering costs.

Together with our customers we analyse the particular application situation and derive an economic and high-quality solution. This begins with the optimal design engineering of the fastener or component. The subsequent assembly is also considered as well as a possible need for disassembly. The possible applications range from the automotive field, white goods, sport and gardening equipments as well as electronics up to fasteners for the building industry. Ultimately everywhere, where high-quality fasteners are needed.
